While in our care, it is our goal is to treat our patients with respect and dignity, and to provide for their physical, emotional, cultural, ethnic and spiritual needs.

Our number one goal is to make your surgical procedure and stay with us as pleasant as possible.

State-of-the-Art Technology

CHRISTUS Hospital invests in and maintains the latest equipment for our surgeons, and we constantly update our technology. Some of the cutting-edge techniques our surgeons use are:

  • Laser technology
  • Endoscopy
  • Laparoscopy
  • Arthroscopy
  • Lithrotripsy

These minimally invasive techniques utilize miniature cameras with microscopes, tiny fiber-optic flashlights and high definition monitors and allow CHRISTUS Hospital surgeons in many specialties to perform surgery through an incision that requires only a stitch or two to close. Because of the small incisions, minimally invasive surgery usually means less trauma to the body, less blood loss, smaller surgical scars, less pain, and a quicker recovery.

Pre-Operative Services

The first step towards making your surgical experience as comfortable and stress-free as possible will be your pre-operative visit. During your visit, we will explain your surgical procedure and address any questions or concerns you may have. Any laboratory tests ordered by your surgeon or anesthesiologist will take place during your pre-operative visit.

This will be a good opportunity for you to get acquainted with our staff and familiarize yourself with the Outpatient Surgery area. We will help you complete your paperwork, review your insurance forms, and finalize your payment arrangements. Your pre-operative visit may be scheduled between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:30 pm, up to seven days prior to your surgery.

Patient-Centered Care

Our approach to your outpatient surgery focuses on you, the patient, and your unique, individual needs. Our specially trained and dedicated staff will listen to your concerns. We will strive to answer your questions and give you the information you need to put your mind at ease before and after your surgery.

From pre-registration to recovery, Outpatient Surgical Services will provide the excellent care and service you expect from CHRISTUS Hospital.
